About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Revista Argentina de Terapia Intensiva is the official scientific journal of the Argentine Society of Intensive Care (SATI).
Its aim is to promote research and disseminate scientific production by intensive care professionals from Argentina and other Latin American countries.
Since 2021, the journal has adopted a continuous publication model, publishing one to two articles per month.
The journal publishes original and unpublished clinical or experimental studies related to critical care and intensive care medicine. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure scientific quality.
The journal is primarily addressed to physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other professionals involved in critical care medicine.
Peer Review Process
Each manuscript is initially assessed by the Editorial Committee to determine whether it meets the requirements to enter the peer review process.
The review process follows a double-blind system and is conducted by one or two external reviewers.
The corresponding author is informed of acceptance (with or without revisions) or rejection. The Editorial Committee may introduce editorial changes with the authors’ knowledge.
Publication Frequency
Since 2021, the Revista Argentina de Terapia Intensiva uses a continuous publication system. Accepted articles are published individually once editing and layout processes are completed.
