Abstract
Introduction: Recently, different types of vaccines against COVID-19 have been distributed worldwide. Neurological complications, such as acute encephalopathy, have been reported, however it is still speculative whether these complications are accidentally or coincidentally related to the anti COVID-19 vaccine. Two cases of acute encephalopathy are reported after the placement of the 3rd dose of the anti COVID 19 vaccine, messenger RNA (Moderna and Pfizer). In whom meningoencephalitis due to other causes was ruled out. Discussion: the patients were treated empirically with ceftriaxona and acyclovir, without clinical improvement. In both cases, a second LP was performed, which was decisive in the evolution of the patients. Conclusion: health personnel must be attentive to these possible complications. Meanwhile, new research is awaited to establish any association between anti Covid 19 vaccines and neurological complications.
