Abstract
Children infected with SARS-CoV-2 appear to suffer mild forms of the disease. Even so it has been observed that a percentage is admitted to intensive care units and require mechanical ventilation and specific approaches for this age group. In the framework of this pandemic, a group of professional kinesiologists specialized in pediatric patients receiving critical care, was created with the aim of generating recommendations for the management of children with acute respiratory failure and suspected or confirmed COVID-19 and to provide guidance that allows the professional to anticipate, promote, identify and generate respiratory treatment measures for an effective, but at the same time, safe follow-up of pediatric patients with suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2, based on national and international scientific publications in the area of pediatric, neonatal and adult intensive care.
