Resumen
Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 27 años con diagnóstico reciente de tumor de mediastino. Ingresó en la unidad de terapia intensiva tras una intervención quirúrgica para intentar resecar el tumor, que resultó irresecable debido a la alta infiltración en grandes vasos. La biopsia reveló un carcinoma tímico de células escamosas. Durante el seguimiento posoperatorio, se identificó una infección secundaria en el tumor. Se detallan los hallazgos radiológicos, las decisiones terapéuticas y el resultado.
