Comparative analysis between In-Hospital Cardiac Arrests that occur in normal horary and those that occur outside of that time.

Abstract
Cardiac arrest is a public health problem, including in-hospital cardiac arrest, which have a high mortality (between 65 and 85%). Due to this high mortality, it is imperative to know and study the in-hospital cardiac arrest. Health centers and the systems to deal with them, especially when 80% of in-hospital cardiac arrest present premonitory signs in the previous days. We believe that knowing the epidemiology and the possible differences in-hospital cardiac arrest care could help to increase the survival of this entity. Our work compares the characteristics and immediate survival of in-hospital cardiac arrest that occur during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with those that occur outside of these hours.
Our study, despite its limitations, shows a trend (corroborated in other works) that in-hospital cardiac arrest that take place outside the normal hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday have higher mortality, so emphasis should be placed on treating to improve this situation.
