Abstract

We present a clinical case of a rare but serious entity, cerebral venous thrombosis. The most common cause is the presence of an acquired prothrombotic condition. The clinical presentation is very varied, headache us the most frequent symptom. An imaging test is essential for its diagnosis. The most sensitive is contrast enhanced brain resonance imaging. The therapeutic recommendation is anticoagulation with subcutaneous low molecular weight or intravenous sodium heparin. Low frequency can make us underestimate your diagnosis, worsening the prognosis.
